New home sales plummet after a surge in April:
June 28,2025
Sales of new U.S. single-family homes dropped sharply by 13.7% month-over-month and registered a seven-month low of 623k units in May. After a brief jump in April, new home sales fell by the most in nearly three years.
Rates unchanged at the June FOMC meeting
June 21,2025
June 23, 2025 – The Fed decided to keep rates unchanged at the June FOMC meeting but signaled that the central bank could cut its policy rate by 50 basis points before the end of 2025. The housing market has remained soft with sales dropping to a four-month low &the median home price also declined .
